Nigeria Scammer

I picked up my phone and saw that I’d missed a call from an unknown number. I called back.
➡️

Hacker work front of his laptop computer with dark face.

The person on the other line sounded older than me but he says ‘My father mistakenly transferred credit to you…’

I politely said, ‘No, I didn’t receive any credit.’ But he repeated the same words. I quickly checked my SMSes but saw no VTU. I maintained my stand. ➡️

Bros kept saying some things that sounded like he was sure. His English was somehow annoying me sef plus he sounded too old to be receiving credit from ‘a father’ – old enough to be giving the poor man money.

Wifey who was within earshot motioned that he could be a scammer. Me sef didn’t have time for nonsense talk. ➡️

I ended the call and blocked the number before I checked my credit balance to confirm that there was no increment.

But a curious part of me is wondering how it could have played out if indeed this was a scam. Any ideas? ⏹️

Be sure that there will be a follow up post on the ideas I receive!
