People don’t often come online to show what’s going wrong with them. No, people show themselves in their best light👯♀🏃♂🕺🤸♂💃🏽.

If we take 10 selfies🤳🏾🤳🏾🤳🏾🤳🏻🤳🏼🤳🏽🤳🏿🤳🏿🤳🏻🤳 and want to post one, we look for the best one🤳🏻, and then go ahead to filter it. If we feel sad for 2 days and happy in 1, we project the one day. While this is not bad in itself as a way of self encouragement, it creates a false sense of what people are experiencing and it causes depression😟 for some others.
Someone out there is going through really rough stuff, comes online, surfs through profile of friend after friend, sees them happy all the time, and wonders why he or she has such a bad deal from God. “How my own come be like dis?”🙆🏿♂
My brother and sister, don’t be deceived, the fowl 🐓too is sweating, it’s the feather of filters, best picture, ‘fake it till you make it’, ‘follow facebook algorithm to go for likes’, that is covering the fowls sweats. That duck you see gliding calmly on top of water, is paddling like mad under water. Dangote self is owing bank and owing contractors. Gba! O easy, kama so mi (meaning, let’s just say it’s easy, so as not to begin to swear down)
So don’t beat yourself up if you realize things are hard at the moment. Don’t be deceived by the glamorous and excited🥳 posts of your friends or even me😇. Life is an exciting cycle of Battles and Blessings. Sometimes it’s not even a cycle, but actually two simultaneous tracks. Sometimes it’s amazing weather and then some days it rains, and sometimes it rains, pours and snows, and sometimes the heat of the sun is unbearable. These are all metaphors for the seasons of our lives.🌤🌧⛈❄☀🔥🌬

Yes, I know sharing gloomy stuff won’t make you attract more likes and shares, but it will do something else. It will make someone who resonates and needs comfort get comforted, or cause them to hit you up for a further conversation. I think on the long term truth is irresistible – Gaskiya Dokin karfe🙅🏽♂.
If you are going through sorrowful night seasons now, be assured that joy comes in the morning🌔. If everything is high season right now, be wise, winter is coming. Life is battles and blessings, battles and blessings, battles and blessings… one moment it’s hosanna, another moment it’s crucify him. Life is about learning to manage these extremes, of being grateful for the good times, and learning from the trying times. Be assured that what matters is the end, and that in the right company, we already won☃🌞👯🏻♀👯🏻♂.
