What if Your Father was the Richest?

Worth 9 billion dollars

Imagine Dangote is your father and He says to you “Son, don’t worry what you will eat and drink, that is what other people who don’t have Dangote as Father worry about, for you – Don’t!”.

Imagine Bill Gates is your father and He says to you “Son, don’t want anything, don’t chase anything – Just follow me! Do whatever I tell you to do, go wherever I tell you to go. I know the things you need. Just like I take care of our drivers and gardeners, don’t you know you are more valuable than them.”

Imagine Warren Buffet is your father and He says to you “Son, I want you to go all over the world, adopt more sons into the Buffet Family and train them on what it means to carry the Buffet name. You are the heir to all my wealth but this is the work I have for you.”

Imagine Mark Zuckerberg is your father and He says to you “Son, this book with me contains everything you will ever need to know about this life. If you read it daily and meditate on it daily, greater works than I ever did, you will do.”

Will you take these words seriously? Will you obey your father? Think about this deeply.

Basically, all the statements above were spoken by Jesus. However, it is basically easier for us to follow to the letter the words of Dangote and Buffet than the words of Jesus.

Is this not meant to be an anomaly? Is it that we see Gates as richer than God? Is it that we trust Mark more than Jesus? Is it that we feel Dangote is more accomplished than Jesus? Is it that we fear Buffet more than God?

Whatever the reason, let us rate ourselves against the clear commands of Jesus and if we have not been obedient, repent today! Obedience is better than offering and tithe!
