They say a teacher’s reward is in heaven. But when children or their parents go out of their way to say ‘thank you’ (and trust me, many forget or don’t even consider it necessary), it is quite rewarding for me as a teacher.
This video is a screenshot of feedback I received from parents (some of whom, I’ve never met physically) after 3 months of online teaching. Some of these words nearly bring tears to my eyes. It is a testimony I can’t keep to myself. I just gotta share.
Teaching, like farming, is indeed a rewarding career for those who invest the time, passion and patience.
